Dream!

Do you have dreams? Hopes? What dream do you hope to make come true? How do you work to make your dreams come true?

To accomplish one¡¯s goals, one has to dream. Dreaming is an enjoyable exercise for people because it brings pleasure with little monetary cost. Often, an artist will utilize current technology to turn their ideas into reality. [prak-sis] challenges you to bring to this show with art that will stir the hopes and dreams of its viewers and/or the current technology with surrealistic and futuristic art. If you are an artist who dreams someday to make a historical masterpiece of art, you may be qualified. If you use hopes and dreams or just dream as subject matter in your painting, installation, performance, music, sculpture, video, and more, you may also be qualified. If you are dreaming to use high technology in art, this show will be the right one for you. We will have three commercial spaces on Western Avenue(between Noth and Milwakee) for this show. Pictures of the site will be posted on the 20th of March.

The show will be on April 25th, 2009.

We think it¡¯s OK to have the secret dream to use art to conquer the world.

To apply for this show, e-mail your resume, artist statement, and 5 images of your work to entry@prak-sis.org. If you are time-based artist, send 10 still images or/and a link to your website for video work.
